A lot of people have been asking me recently how I trim my dogs’ nails. I also show how to get your dogs nails to become shorter, if the pink parts have grown out. If you want to learn more, you should subscribe as I will be showing how to teach your dog to be as calm and relaxed as mine when getting his nails trimmed!

Caution- Don’t trim your dog’s nails super short before any competitions or large amounts of exercise. Don’t have your dog roll over on his back right after eating a big meal.

THIS VIDEO IS ON HOW I TRIM MY DOGS NAILS. COMING SOON- How to get your dog to feel comfortable with nail trimming! And how to teach play dead for nail trimming.

  1. Thanks for the Dremel tip! I tried this last night and its less scary than the clippers. My new dog doesn't know play dead but he does like to relax on his back, especially if belly rubs are involved. I also had treats ready for when he got antsy, and gave him his favorite big treat when we were done! He has long quicks so hopefully we can get his nails shorter over time by doing this once a week.

  2. Very helpful video! I was going to get just the Dremel, now I am going to get the clipper as well just in case my baby girl doesn't like the Dremel right off the bat. Thank you! I am not very excited to trim her nails! In fact, super scared!!! ^O^ (T_T)"

  3. I thought I was the only one who trims dog nails while they are on their back. I have found that my dogs (if they jerk away) are more manageable and predictable, and belly rubs are great rewards between nails. The rotary tool is a great idea too, you can pick one up at Harbor Freight for about $8. Thanks for the video!

  4. This is avery informative and short video just well created.I have not done any trimming as yet.I have no idea how to go about it as she does not know the trick of lying dead.. do you have a video on that? I mean lying dead?

  5. thank-you this really worked… I thought my dog was gonna spaz but I really feel like we just bonded… now I will create a new habit of trimming her nails atleast bi weekly…
